SingHaiyi sells 550 units at Grand Dunman best-selling project in 2.5 years

Grand Dunman’s launch weekend (July 15-16) was a huge success, with 550 units out of the 1,008 snapped up. This reflects a take-up rate of 54.6% and an average selling price of around $2,500 psf.
SingHaiyi Group and CSC Land Group are the joint developers of Grand Dunman, which has become the fastest-selling project of 2023. Most buyers (90%) are Singaporeans, 9% are Singapore Permanent Residents, and 1% were foreigners, according to Gary Lim, SingHaiyi Group head of sales and marketing.
A good spread of unit types, ranging from one- to three-bedroom units, including dual-key units, were sold. Of these, around 70% were priced at or below $3 million.
“Grand Dunman’s exceptional performance makes it the best-selling project of 2023 in terms of number of units sold,” says Ismail Gafoor, CEO of PropNex. He adds that it provides homebuyers with more unit types and sizes options.
Mark Yip, CEO of Huttons Asia, points out that Grand Dunman is the top-selling project since the 1,862-unit Normanton Park, which sold about 600 units on its launch weekend in January 2021. This makes it the best-selling project in 2.5 years.
With close proximities to key amenities such as the Dakota MRT station (Circle Line), the CBD, the Old Airport Road Food Centre and the Katong heritage area, Grand Dunman was a hot purchase, with over 10,000 visitors on its preview weekend. Additionally, it is within 1km of Kong Hwa School, a famous primary school.
The success of Grand Dunman had a spill-over effect, with 15% of units sold at Verdale on the launch weekend and 268 viewings at Parc Greenwich, which taps into the low EC supply in the Seletar neighbourhood.
Units at Grand Dunman that are most sought after are south-facing, with a view onto the exclusive Mountbatten and Meyer area, the East Coast Park and the sea. Marcus Chu, CEO of ERA Singapore confirms this.
