Grand Copthorne Waterfront reopens after $30 mil revamp

Millennium Hotels and Resorts, a global brand under Millennium & Copthorne Hotels, has opened its doors to reveal a $30 million renovation of the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel along the Singapore River. This five-star hotel, which attracts business and leisure travellers, features 574 guestrooms and suites as well as 33 versatile function rooms across three floors.

Located at 392 Havelock Road, the Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel is positioned to capture the fast-growing MICE market in a time when MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions) travel has resumed normalcy and in-person events return to the agenda. Kwek Eik Sheng, executive director of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, said “This is a timely refresh for Grand Copthorne Waterfront Hotel.”

The refreshed hotel highlights eco-conscious practices such as the use of recyclable and biodegradable stationery, filtered drinking water replacing bottled water, and a linen-less table set-up. In guestrooms, an in-room water filter has been installed to reduce single-use plastic waste from bottled water consumption by 20%. Other eco-friendly features include in-room water dispensers and innovative, high-efficiency technology that reduce electricity and water consumption.
