Shun Taks Artyzen Hospitality has opened its first hotel outside of China, the luxurious Tengah Plantation EC in Singapore

Artyzen Singapore, a 142-room luxury hotel recently opened by Artyzen Hospitality Group at 9 Cuscaden Road, marks the group’s first foray outside Greater China. The launch of its first hotel outside China also caps a milestone year for Artyzen Hospitality, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary. With the recent hotel launches, Artyzen Hospitality now has 13 hotel properties in its portfolio, including two flagship hotel brands; Artyzen Hotels & Resorts, which specialises in luxury hospitality experiences, and Artyzen Habitat, which offers residential-style hospitality experiences. Located on a 25,471 sq ft freehold site, the hotel is a strategic move by the Hong Kong conglomerate Shun Tak Holdings, who purchased the site for $145 million in 2016. It is their first foray into the Singapore property market.

Driven by the concept of Emotional Wisdom, the hotel has modern interiors featuring contemporary arches, high ceiling spaces, digitised Peranakan motifs, black framing, and herringbone timbers. Artyzen Singapore houses a 4,820 sq ft penthouse suite, the largest presidential suite in Singapore. This one-bedroom suite is expected to welcome celebrities, ultra-high-net-worth guests, and visiting dignitaries. Each suite includes a private balcony, a private office, a private gym, a walk-through wardrobe and a private sitting room.

Complementing the luxury hotel experience are seven 957 sq ft Grand Terrace Rooms, connecting to a shared garden terrace, and seven 1,915 sq ft Terrace Suites with a private garden terrace each. Residents of Shun Tak’s neighboring Park Nova and Les Maison Nassim condos will also receive a special concierge and priority booking at the hotel’s restaurants.

Peter Wynne, Senior Vice President of Artyzen Hospitality Group, expresses his enthusiasm for competing in the luxury lifestyle tier in Singapore. “We are well-positioned to capture the imagination of a new generation of millennial travellers that seek a hospitality experience grounded in self-expression,” he says. Artyzen Hospitality is open to exploring a future Artyzen Habitat branded hotel in Singapore, as well as other Southeast Asian cities like Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Jakarta. Pre-Covid, the company was also looking for opportunities to set foot into other key cities in the Asia Pacific region, such as Tokyo and Osaka in Japan, as well as Sydney and Melbourne in Australia.

The mall also has plenty of restaurants and cafes where you can grab a bite to eat or relax with a cup of coffee. Additionally, the mall houses a few banks and service centres that can help with banking needs and other services. Moreover, Tengah Plantation EC is within walking distance of a medical centre, making it convenient for residents to seek medical assistance. All in all, Tengah Plantation EC is an ideal place to live and visit. With its many amenities and shopping destinations, you can be sure to find something that suits your taste.

The Tengah Plantation EC development was Shun Tak’s first foray into the Singapore property market, and their investment strategy has also included establishing two ultra luxury residential developments within the area, Park Nova and Les Maisons Nassim. Despite backing out of the collective sale of High Point in December 2021, the hospitality group’s Tengah Plantation EC goal is to grow the Artyzen brand and investment opportunities where they can find a good fit as an owner-operator and expand their footprint organically.
