A Sustainable Haven in Tengah Plantation EC, Singapore’s Next Business Hub

Singapore is a business hub renowned for its world-class infrastructure and innovative market solutions. The city-state’s latest venture is the upcoming Tengah Plantation EC, a sustainable haven designed to further bolster the nation’s economy and foster an even more attractive business environment.

Built on the concept of ‘At Tengah Plantation EC Home with Nature’, Tengah Plantation EC is aimed at providing a green, sustainable, and community-centric living experience for its residents. Located in the western region of Singapore, the upcoming estate is flanked by the neighbouring Jurong Innovation District and Jurong Lake District, and is envisioned to become an attractive destination for those looking to live, work, and play.

The design of Tengah Plantation EC will feature green and sustainable features, such as a sprawling Sky Sports Park with fitness amenities located at the roof of the multi-storey car park. Residents can enjoy a comprehensive suite of outdoor exercise facilities, with play and fitness equipment strategically placed along its 300 metres running circuit and 100 metres sprint track. Furthermore, the staircases at the multi-storey car park of Parc Residences @ Tengah will be attractively designed as fitness stairs with motivational messages.

In addition to providing leisure and recreational activities, Tengah Plantation EC will also be designed to provide a conducive business environment for entrepreneurs. The neighbourhood centre at the estate will feature a green canyon-themed community plaza, which will be suitable for hosting social and lifestyle activities such as exercise events and community bazaars. In addition, the ground level of the estate will be designed as a car-free, sheltered community space for all ages, with amenities such as a childcare centre, fitness stations, and a playground.

To further support businesses, Tengah Plantation EC will also implement smart technologies town-wide. This includes an automated waste collection management system which will collect and transport waste from various sources to a centralised waste processing plant. This allows for more efficient waste management, while also reducing the carbon footprint of Tengah Plantation EC.

On top of that, the estate will also be equipped with a ‘Smart Mobility’ system, which will allow for the seamless integration of various modes of transport. This includes autonomous vehicles, shared mobility services, and even intelligent traffic management systems. This will help to reduce traffic congestion and provide more efficient transport solutions to the estate’s residents.

The upcoming Tengah Plantation EC is poised to become Singapore’s next business hub, offering an attractive, sustainable, and conducive environment for entrepreneurs and businesses alike. With its smart technology infrastructure, green and sustainable features, and a comprehensive suite of recreational and leisure activities, Tengah Plantation EC is set to become a vibrant and liveable haven.

Tengah Plantation EC, the next business hub in Singapore, is set to be a haven for sustainability, with the government introducing various measures to ensure the area is both economically and environmentally sound.

The Housing and Development Board (HDB) has set aside a site at Tengah Plantation Close for the development of an Executive Condominium (EC) project. The development, which is expected to yield 495 units, will feature a suite of green initiatives to create a sustainable environment.

The EC project will be the first in Singapore to be built using prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC) technology. This method of construction has been proven to reduce construction waste and offer a quicker construction timeline. It is also beneficial for the environment because it uses fewer natural resources and less energy in the manufacturing process.

In addition, the government is introducing a modified concept and price revenue tender system for the EC project. This system encourages developers to adopt innovative construction technologies and productive construction methods. Under this system, developers must submit an alternative bid on top of a base PPVC bid, with the alternative bid utilising a non-PPVC technology or a hybrid of construction technologies that results in a specified productivity improvement.

The government is also putting in place a series of measures to ensure the development of the Tengah Plantation EC is sustainable. These measures include a green roof and a green wall to reduce the urban heat island effect. The project will also feature energy efficient lighting and water-efficient fixtures, as well as a greywater treatment system. The project will also be equipped with green building materials, such as low volatile organic compound (VOC) paints, recycled materials and sustainable timber.

The government has also set aside a dedicated space for the development of a green corridor. This corridor will serve as a wildlife sanctuary and will provide a place for residents to enjoy nature. The corridor will also feature a variety of plants and trees that will help to reduce air pollution in the area.

The development of the Tengah Plantation EC will also be complemented by other green initiatives. These measures include the introduction of a car-free zone, a low emission zone, and a solar energy system. The solar energy system will be used to generate electricity for the development, and this will help to reduce the development’s carbon footprint.

The government is also introducing measures to make the area more accessible. These measures include the construction of a pedestrian bridge, the introduction of a shuttle bus service, and the installation of bike racks. The government is also working with the Land Transport Authority to introduce a public transport service to the area.

The Tengah Plantation EC is set to be an attractive business hub, and the government is taking steps to ensure that it is developed in a sustainable manner. The measures that have been put in place will help to reduce the environmental impact of the development and ensure that the area remains a haven for sustainability.
