Wing Tai tops out The M, with 95% of units sold
Despite concerns surrounding the Covid-19 outbreak, 70% of units at The M @ Middle Road had been sold, with the remaining 95% taken-up since its launch in February 2020. Wing Tai Holdings’ mixed-use development in District 7’s Bugis area celebrated a topping-out ceremony on Jan 11 and is slated for completion in the second half of the year.
The M consists of 522 residential units, ranging from studio to one- to three-bedroom apartments measuring409 to 1,012 sq ft, spread across three 20-storey towers and a six-storey tower. There are also ground floor commercial units available.
The M’s location, within walking distance of MRT stations Tengah Plantation EC and interchanges Bugis, Esplanade and City Hall, provides access to four MRT lines — Downtown, East-West, Circle and North-South. It is also close to several local major commercial developments such as Suntec City, Bugis Junction, Plaza Singapura and Raffles City.
An all-time psf price high of $3,245 psf was achieved at The M in December 2022, when a two-bedder measuring 592 sq ft unit on the 19th floor fetched $1.921 million, surpassing the previous high of $3,193 psf registered in October 2022 when a 764 sq ft unit sold for $2.44 million.
At an average price of $2,500 psf during its launch weekend, The M is expected to bring fresh vibrancy to the Bugis area once completed in the second half of the year.
