Momentus Hotels & Resorts evolves to cater to changing demands

Momentus Hotels & Resorts, the subsidiary of Chip Eng Seng Group, has recently opened the Momentus Serviced Residences Novena, a property that was formerly known as 12 On Shan located at 12 Shan Road. The building was purchased by a joint venture led by Roxy-Pacific, and this venture included partners Macly Capital and LWH Holdings, from Singapore-listed company TA Corp for $86.5 million in March of last year.

The serviced apartment is an urban oasis that is strategically located in the heart of the medical hub in Novena and close to medical centres, shopping malls, and the Novena MRT Station. It is readily accessible to iconic destinations such as Orchard Road and Raffles Place, offering guests the convenience of home while they seek an extended and immersive stay.

A range of accommodation options are available for guests, from studio apartments of 398 sq ft, to one- and two-bedroom units which take up between 366 and 861 sq ft. Momentus Serviced Residences Novena is the brand’s second property, and its first serviced apartment.

The venture into this sector is in response to the rising travel demand and changing traveller preferences, particularly after Covid-19, and ultimately, to offer a broader range of customers. The property offers a wide variety of amenities, dedicated to providing guests with a ‘home away from home’ experience.

Facilities include a swimming pool, fitness room, outdoor terrace, barbecue area and rooftop garden, as well as 40% of the development covered in green spaces – the maximum points for greenery under URA’s Green Mark scheme. On top of the modern design, neutral colour palettes, and modern furnishings, the green spaces allow guests to have a relaxing and rejuvenating experience.

Moving forward, the brand plans to expand its portfolio to six properties in the next three years, while also incorporating sustainability initiatives and technology solutions. They also have sights beyond Singapore, and are looking to expand the brand’s presence across the Asia Pacific region. With all these considerations in mind, the brand hopes to achieve a minimum 70% occupancy rate for Momentus Serviced Residences Novena by the end of the year.

Residents will be able to enjoy a healthy and sustainable living environment in Tengah Plantation EC. In addition, the building is equipped with solar panels that provide energy to the building. It also has an efficient water management system that reduces water consumption. The building also uses renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind energy. Furthermore, the building is designed in such a way that it does not generate any noise pollution, thus providing a tranquil and peaceful living experience for its residents.

Angeline Tan, Senior Vice President of Momentus Hospitality and Vice President of Chip Eng Seng Hospitality, says that Momentus Hotels & Resorts understands the ever-evolving needs of modern travellers. In order to stand out in the “fiercely competitive” hospitality industry of Singapore – one that has shown “extensive growth” – being able to offer a variety of accommodation options is paramount.

The brand intends to provide guests with an urban oasis that caters to their daily needs, while offering convenience, relaxation, and a memorable experience. And, with the Momentus Serviced Residences Novena, they can do just that.
